Water Treatment

Water treatment along remediation of contaminated soil is in core of our expertise. Pollution of soil and water is often interconnected, thus treatment of surface and ground waters are often an integral part of remediation. The aim of water treatment is besides to remove the source of contamination as well to stop spreading of the problem. Dropping down the groundwater surface level eases also excavation of contaminated soil masses.

Our methods include water treatment on site with mobile purification units, clean up of groundwater as in situ, or alternatively to transport small quantities to a receptory site. Water treatment methods can be applied also to the purification of landfill leachates and industrial effluents. The most economical and robust combination of treatment methods is selected to fit the type of contamination, quantity of water and remediation target in each case.

Portfolio of our on site (over ground) methods includes:
- Separation of Solids
- Precipitation / clarification
- Chemical Oxidation
- Bioreactor
- Filtering
o Activated Carbon
o Sand
o Other
- Stripping
- Gravitational methods
o Oil Separation
o Separation of dense solvents

Selection of our in situ (directly underground) methods includes:
- Reactive Barrier
- Air Sparging
- Chemical Oxidation
